And so it begins....

Hola!!!

Well Im FINALLY here and, not surprisingly, Spain is amazing!!! On friday we met our host families and im pretty sure my roommate Lindsey and i got very lucky! Our host mom, se llama Blanca Vera Flores, is super nice and SUCH A GOOD COOK!! Im definately going to engordarme (gain weight) but its totally worth it. Blanca also has such a cool apartment (called piso).......

On Saturday we took a tour of la universidad de Alcalá...... pretty sure this campus rocks the socks off any other because its so beautiful.... here are just a couple pictures of where i get to go to school

yes be jealous.... these two on the bottom are the testing center of the school! i dont know if they still take tests there, but its definately an upgrade of the Grant Building.


Today was our first day of church and it was great!! The members are awesome:)

Introduction

So...... I've decided to start a blog while I am in Spain on semester abroad! Seven days from now i will be on a plane flying to Madríd!! I will be living in the city of Alcalá de Henares..... which is 20 minutes east of Madríd.

In Alcalá i will live with a host family and attend La Universidad de Alcalá where i will study Iberian Civilization, Spanish Literature, and Cultural Survey stuff. Our group of 11 students will travel all over the country to see all the amazing places España has to offer!!
